You can expect to pay £600+ for a full gaming PC which is quite a difference from the cheap PCs. If however, you are just looking for cheap PCs for the likes of word processing, checking emails and shopping online then cheap PCs would be ideally suited to you. Cheap PCs are perfect for a bunch of general duties and means that you won’t have to pay a lot of money just because you want to go online. Just like any other computer, you will notice makes and models for the cheap PCs such as Dell, Asus and Acer. These are just a few of the top names in the computer industry and you can almost always rely on them when buying cheap PCs. Most cheap PCs will come with an operating system, generally Windows XP as the new versions of Windows 7 are expensive to buy. If you have a copy of Windows 7 at home though then that’s great as most of the modern cheap PCs hold a specification which can withstand a Windows 7 installation, however, if you are happy with the Windows XP on the cheap PCs which are available on the market then that’s just as good.

With cheap PCs it’s always recommended that you install virus scanning software and spyware/malware scanning software to prevent any malicious acts from occurring through the accidental installation of a computer virus on cheap PCs. The more expensive range of PCs will generally come with a license for these tools, however, with the cheap PCs this is almost always never the case.
