If you have a standard laptop and you are interested in coloured laptops then it may be a good idea to use a laptop cover which will give the coloured effect that you want. Coloured laptops as you can imagine are much better looking than just your standard laptops purely because they have a bit of colour on them that helps make it stand out more.
Coloured laptops are available for different purposes including home use, office or business use and gaming use. The price you pay for the coloured laptop depends entirely on the spec of the coloured laptop and not because of its colour. As well as coloured laptops, you can also buy laptops with covers. Covers don’t only come in a range of colours but also a range of patterns such as leopard skin to give your cheap laptop that extra edge.
When buying coloured laptops it’s always important to know the system spec of the coloured laptops first and of course you need to know whether an operating system has been installed on the coloured laptops. Without an operating system, your coloured laptops will be completely useless and there only for show which defeats the purpose of buying coloured cheap laptops in the first place.

Thursday, April 14th, 2011

Microsoft Windows 7 PCs are definitely the big in thing at the moment when it comes to computers. But what is all the boasting about? Well, this is simply because the processing and task capabilities of Windows 7 are much greater than any of the other previous Microsoft operating system releases which has made the Windows 7 computers the preferred choice for home users, offices and even large businesses. The advantages of the Microsoft Windows 7 operating system are very broad. For example, you have desktop gadgets (currency convertor, calculator, games etc), easier and quicker network access, quicker file access, you can create and easily share own made videos and much more. It’s because of these things that everyone is now taking advantage of the Windows 7 operating system.
One of the best advantages of Windows 7 PCs for entertainment users is the Windows media center which allows you to record live TV and watch free internet TV. This has not been done with any operating systems until now and just shows how powerful Windows 7 PCs really are.
The cost of the Windows operating systems depends entirely on which version you want. You can buy Home Premium, Professional or Ultimate with Home Premium being the cheapest and Windows Ultimate being the most expensive. The reason for the price difference is due to the fact that each version contains different applications and processing abilities. If you are unsure as to which version you should choose then you should search around for more help, however, it’s pretty basic. Home Premium is for home use, Professional is for office computer and Ultimate is the full package which many offices and businesses are using.
If you are running a network at your home or in the office then Windows 7 PCs are definitely recommended. Network setup and access is very easy, most of which is automatic so you don’t need to use as much effort as the previous releases of Microsoft Windows such as XP and Vista. When setting up a network on Windows 7 PCs, the other great advantage is that there is a firewall to block against any application access and hacking attempts. Previous releases of the Microsoft operating systems also had firewalls, however, the protection is certainly not as good.
If you are a gamer, then the Windows 7 PC is for you. The processing capabilities will really blow you away! Don’t take my word for it, try it for yourself!

how to install Windows XP

Thursday, April 7th, 2011

When you buy a PC or laptop it’s always best that you know how to install operating systems such as Microsoft Windows XP, especially when you are buying cheap PCs or laptops as at times they may not even have an operating system installed. Through this article we will be discussing how to install Windows XP on any PC or laptop. If you are looking for a great way on how to install Windows XP then this is definitely for you. All you need to install Windows XP is a disk with the operating system and of course a PC or laptop. Are you ready? Well let’s get start on how to install Windows XP.
First of all, you will need to set your computer up so that it boots from the CD-ROM. To do so, go to the bios by hitting F2 on start up and then go to the boot device option. You should see your CD-ROM in there which is the option that you need to select or put to the top of the list depending on your BIOS version. Now, save changes and restart the computer ensuring that you have the Windows XP disk in the correct drive. When booting up you should see a message which says “Press any key to boot from the CD”, so what you need to do is hit any key and you will be brought to the installation screen. You will first need to agree to the terms before installing!
Once you have done this you need to select which partition you want to install Windows XP on. Generally, the NTFS file system on the C:\ drive is used for operating system installation but it varies from computer to computer. If you already have an operating system installed on this drive then you will need to commit to the changes that will take place which will overwrite of your old operating system. On agreeing, Windows will start to copy all of the new files over to your hard drive which should take no longer than 10 minutes. The machine will then automatically reboot itself and setup will continue.
On the next stage, you need to configure settings such as system locale so it knows which keyboard layout to use, adjust network settings so your home network functions and you will also need to enter the serial key of your Windows XP. From here, everything is now automatic and the process should take around 2 hours to complete but this depends on the processing speed of your computer.
Once installed, it may be necessary to install drivers for your display adaptor and Ethernet card etc. If you don’t have the drivers on disk then you can download them online or preferably use the Windows driver searching tool which will find and install them automatically for you. There you have it, a fully working version of Windows XP has now been installed.
